Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has finally split with her boyfriend after a tempestuous year long relationship.
The 22-year-old singer is said to have broken off the relationship after months of “tearful late-night phone calls” from her group’s current ‘Tangled-Up’ tour.
A source tells the News Of The World, “It's all very upsetting for poor Nicola but she'd be the first to admit things haven't been great between her and Carl for a while.
"Their relationship has always been feisty but recently the rows were explosive.
"There have been lots of tearful late-night phone calls and now she's decided to call time on it all. The strain of touring has taken its toll and Nicola's made up her mind it's over."
The pair have had a series of public bust ups, including a well-publicised confrontation at last year’s NME Awards, just three months after the start of their relationship.
